Kandala (Kandi) Wise BSN, MSN, FNP-BC

I was born and raised Lexington Tn. I attended Tennessee College of Applied Sciences to obtain my LPN. That was the first step on the path leading me toward my goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. While I worked as a hospice nurse I began furthering my career in nursing by completing my Associates Degree at Jackson State Community College and became a Registered Nurse. I began working at Jackson General Hospital on the oncology/palliative care unit, this is where I felt God had led me to be. It was in this role I grew a passion for oncology but also for palliative care and developing relationships with patients and their families. In 2018, I transferred to Kirkland Cancer, where my passion for oncology grew stronger. While continuing to work, I continued my education further by obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Austin Peay State University. I did not stop there, my end goal was to become a Nurse Practitioner, so that is what I accomplished through Austin Peay State University. I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life working and caring for patients with oncology and hematology needs and their families.

I am a mother of five children that I am so proud of! They definitely keep my husband and I busy. My husband and I do find time to get away occasionally and when we do it usually involves camping/hiking/fishing and exploring areas around Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Kentucky and we are hoping to explore further with the kids as time goes on.
